Our Kulturküche event series gives us a chance to share the delights of German cuisine.

We invite local German American chefs to teach participants a German culinary treat. Whether it's the trick to a perfect strudel or how to balance different meats to stuff your own sausage, there is something for everyone to bring them back to their Oma or Opa's kitchen. Class fee includes demonstration, recipes, one drink, and of course, tasting!

    "Alles hat ein Ende, nur die Wurst hat zwei"                                                           (Everything has an end, only a sausage has two)

     

    According to an old saying, two things you never want to see made are laws and sausage.

    We’re not so sure about that.
    Who doesn’t love a good sausage? And just how are they made?
    On July 27 all these questions and more will be answered as Peter Andros of Sausage König comes to DANK Haus for wurst-making of the very best kind! 
    Peter has been making sausages for 8 years and started Sausage König with his wife Cheryl 3 years ago.
    They make unique and very flavorful sausages you won’t find in any butcher shop. he class will cover sausage making basics regarding food safety, types of sausages,
    materials, seasoning, and equipment needed. Peter will also make two different sausages for the class. You’ll get a taste of his best-selling, traditionally flavored Onion Brat as well as a delicious breakfast sausage which requires no special equipment and anyone can make at home!


    As always, the class fee includes hands-on instruction, generous tastings, recipes, a drink from the bar, and of course camaraderie.
