Our Kulturküche event series gives us a chance to share the delights of German cuisine.

We invite local German American chefs to teach participants a German culinary treat. Whether it's the trick to a perfect strudel or how to balance different meats to stuff your own sausage, there is something for everyone to bring them back to their Oma or Opa's kitchen. Class fee includes demonstration, recipes, one drink, and of course, tasting!

    For this Kulturküche (cooking class), Chef Pete Simons will make delicious German spreads that are traditionally slathered on bread. Learn how to make two popular spreads: one with goose fat and one with cheese. Come cook with friends while enjoying a glass of wine or beer.

    Our classes feature step-by-step, hands-on instruction, generous samplings, recipes to take home, a drink from the bar, and good company. Classes fill up quickly, so reserve your seat while you can!

    Class starts at 7:30 pm.

    Pretzels Everybody loves them, but do you know how to make them? Due to heavy popular demand, we're bringing back our very own PRETZEL MEISTER REINHARD for a fantastic, hands-on lesson in authentic German pretzel making! Known long ago as "little rewards," the pretzel or German "Brezel" was most likely developed by a German bakers guild in the early 12th century. This class will use old-world methods passed down through Reinhard's family. As a special treat, each participant will get a supply of special pretzel lye to make their own pretzels at home. Sign up now, this class sells out fast!

    Class fee includes recipe, hands-on demonstration, one drink from the bar, generous tasting, and great camaraderie.
