We are so happy to have a großartige new Intern with Herrn Helfmann's Eulengruppe: Miss Winter. The kids love her, but because of the Pandemic our parents only get to hear of her, and can never really meet her. So, ask your kid about Math and English class today, and they will tell you about her. And if you're not quite sure you can believe everything the little ones tell you, here's Miss Winter in her own words:
My name is Winter, and I’m the new intern at the Dank Haus. I go to school at DePaul University where I’m a senior majoring in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development and minors in Education and English. I’ve always loved working with kids, and I eventually hope to work as a children’s librarian. Although I don’t have experience with German, I have a background in second language education as I spent several years teaching Chinese at an immersion program similar to the Dank Haus. Through this internship, I hope to gain further experience working with children and a better understanding of how schools operate. I’m currently taking time off of school due to the pandemic, so I’m really excited to get to work with Mr. Helfmann’s class in the coming months!
We are so happy to have you with us, Miss Winter!
