Explore the history of the Kaiserreich (German Empire or 2nd Reich) of Otto von Bismarck and Kaiser Wilhelm I & II from the ecstasy of unification (1871) to the agony of defeat at Versailles (1919). Examine the Kaiserreich as Kulturnation, the science, philosophy, music and literature that not only made this epoch so remarkable but portentous for the years which lie ahead. Study the geo-political chain of events which lead to tragic defeat in WWI and national humiliation at Versailles. An interesting, insightful, visually oriented Power Point presentation history will buffs enjoy.
