We have some exciting news to share from our recent board meeting. For the last 60 years, DANK Haus has been committed to our neighborhood, our community and our heritage.

Friends and neighbors have come through our doors to help, learn, celebrate and gather. You know this first hand.

At our May meeting, we took time to recognize and celebrate the tremendous hard work that has brought  us to this point. To stand still for a moment, on solid ground, and reflect on your past and imagine your future is a gift. And the current board is so very appreciative of the untold hours, sleepless nights, hard work and selfless devotion on the part of all those that made this moment  possible.

We are pleased to share some good news with you……

The Board of Directors adopted a vision statement and set of core values that will shape our work in the years to come and I’m pleased to share it with you below!

These guiding principles will shape our plans in the years to come. You will see them come to life in our exhibits, classes, programs, and events. But there is so much more we can do to gather friends, help our neighbors and move towards a bright future.

And that’s where we would love your input. Below you will find a confidential survey. Your participation in this process will help to shape the future of our Haus. Your Haus.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Executive Director, Monica Jirak, monica@dankhaus.com.

Our sincere thanks to the members of the board who served on the strategic planning committee and gave generously of their insights, dedication to the mission of DANK Haus and enthusiasm for its future.

 Eric Bentsen Brian Clauss
 John Grischow Kenny Howanski
 Janka Pieper Karl-Eric Zimniok

And thank you for all you have done to make this moment possible. And for all that we will do together in the days, months and years ahead.

Ciao,

Marco Heuer
Chair
DANK Haus Board of Directors
