TEEN GERMAN CLASSES
Our German language classes for teenagers are designed for students ages 12-14 to learn the German language and explore German culture. Classes provide engaging, fun and interactive learning opportunities that not only encourage intellectual development but also promote a better understanding of the student’s native language. Classes are specifically designed to target the language needs and interests teenagers have. Our teachers are highly professional, possess strong organizational and classroom management skills, and have vast experience with teaching young students. To ensure success in the classroom, our teachers individualize the curriculum to meet the different needs of all students. Currently, we are offering elementary German classes at Levels I and III. Students who had no or very limited exposure to German language as well as some initial instruction are invited to register for these classes. Our placement tests will guide you to the right level.
Please, contact Language Program Director Dr. Miglena Nikolova with questions regarding our curriculum.
Registration for Spring 2017 is closed. Please contact us to be added to our contact list so you won't miss our next semester.
Please submit an application by clicking on the link in the Class Schedule below. Registration for Spring 2017 Semester will open at the end of November 2016. Registration deadline is January 12, 2016! Classes are subject to sufficient enrollment. DANK Haus reserves the right to cancel a class if student numbers are insufficient. To allow for us to base this decision on correct numbers and in fairness to all prospective and wait-listed students: Please contact us immediately should your availability or interest to take this class change after you submitted an application! We will be able to confirm classes by January 13, 2016 via email. At that point you will be asked to make your tuition and material fee payment.
DANK Haus has implemented a web based application to streamline the registration process including giving you the option to make online payments. In our confirmation email you will be given access information to the DANK Haus School Portal. Please note that this information will be time sensitive and temporary passwords will expire after 3 days. Therefore, we recommend you take the time to sign in right away to avoid the need for a password reset link at a later point. By registering, parents agree to our payment, cancellation, and media policies.
Please contact Language Program Coordinator Anett Rollin with any questions regarding the registration or payment process.
Joining us with little previous knowledge of German and not sure if Level I or Level III is right for your child? Our Placement Tests are designed to be a first evaluation of language skill level and a point to start at. Beginning with Test 1, please have your child advance through the test levels as she/he reaches more than 80% with as little direction from you as possible. Please reference your child's test results when registering for the school year.
Classes meet Fridays from 5:30 - 7:45 pm
