  • Friday, September 25, 2015
  • 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
  • DANK Haus

Bachelor Felix (Matthias Schweighöfer) is happy with his life and does not want to change a thing. Especially settling down and starting a family are not on his agenda. One day his annoying brother Henne (Friedrich Mücke) convinces him to earn some money through semen donation. Soon after the donation Felix is involved in a fatal accident with his brother’s ferret and loses his fertility. Immediately, he develops the wish to find the receiver of his donation since it is his only chance left for having a family. Unfortunately, this receiver is Maren (Isabell Polak) a famous TV host, which complicates his difficult undertaking even more.

Vaterfreuden, which roughly translates as “the joys of fatherhood” is actually based on a popular novel from German author Murmel Clausen and Schweighöfers third production as film director. It is a mixture of comedy and love story combined by frivolous elements.

Movie will be shown in German with English subtitles.
