ONLINE Reading and Writing Class - Spring 2020

In this blended learning class, we will focus on reading and writing. It will include three in person meetings and all other session will take place online at your convenience. The readings examine contemporary topics of daily life in the German speaking countries, such as politics, literature, sport, music, etc. The reading lessons will be accompanied by a set of pre- and post-reading activities. Each week, students will work on a written response, based on the readings and express their own views and ideas on the topic. Students will receive feedback on their reading and writing activities. Grammar activities will be completed as well. In addition, students will participate in asynchronous online discussions.

Prerequisites: Due to the flexible structure of the course and the student-centered approach adopted for this class, students at various levels of proficiency may enroll. This class welcomes students who qualify for Elementary German III and IV as well as Intermediate German I and II. Please refer to our placement test and indicate your score when registering.
