Milestone reached:

$57,301 raised for Phase 1 (as of 2/16/22)

During our end-of-year fundraising campaign that started in November 2021, we surpassed our $54,000 goal and totaled $57,301. These funds came from 225 donors who gave amounts large and small – thank you to every one of you! We are looking forward to having you visit the space when it is completed.

What's next:

Staff meet with Waechter Architects in the space

Now, we are beginning to plan the details of the construction process. Currently we are:

• fine-tuning the construction timeline (adapting to the materials/labor shortage affecting the construction industry)
  
• working with Waechter Architects on architectural documents for contractors
• planning the gallery lighting
• designing illuminated signage for the outside of the building – with our new Treffpunkt logo! Check it out below:

Treffpunkt means meeting point, which we incorporated into the design. We hope you'll see this logo when you walk by our building soon, and that it will attract you to stop in.

After 54 years of owning our building, we are excited be in a position to expand into this new space. We are especially proud that the space will offer something to all our audiences: adult language learners taking class in the new space, gallery visitors checking out an exhibit, workshop participants making a German craft, parents looking for a quick Brötchen and Kaffee while their kids are in our Kindergarten...there are few limits to what we can do in the Treffpunkt!
