The DANK Haus German American Cultural Center proudly announces an open call for artists to participate in an upcoming exhibition, "Power Frauen: German Women Who Dared to Dream" This exhibition, first curated at the German American Heritage Center & Museum in Davenport, Iowa, will celebrate the remarkable achievements and enduring legacies of German, Austrian, and other women of German descent who have left an indelible mark on the world.

We invite local women artists of all ages to create an original work of art inspired by one of these influential "Power Frauen" profiled in the exhibition. We have provided a list of women who are profiled in the exhibition, but if you have another figure who speaks to you, feel free to suggest them to us.
