Ted Whalen and Donna Martin will be teaching a baking class on two traditional German Christmas cookies: Lebkuchen and Pfeffernüsse. They’ll be imparting family recipes handed down from Ted’s German grandparents and techniques from Donna’s experience as a baker and graduate of the French Pastry School. Both types of cookies are spiced, not too sweet, and pair well with all types of warming winter drinks. Lebkuchen will be made with honey and assorted dried fruit, and Pfeffernüsse will include freshly ground black pepper.


Class fee includes a recipe, hands-on demonstration, one drink from the bar, generous tasting, and great camaraderie.
