German Election Watchparty

Join us for an in-person German election live viewing on Sunday, September 26th.

Sponsored by the German Consulate in Chicago, the event will feature live coverage of the exit polls followed by an expert panel discussion on the impact the results may have on Germany, the EU, and the broader transatlantic relations.

Time: Doors open at 9:30 am | Event begins at 10 am
German breakfast will be provided by Himmel's Restaurant

The panel will discuss bilateral relations, the European Union, and the international aspect of elections from 10:00-11:00 am. We will then stream live coverage of the incoming election results from German public TV (ARD) and Deutsche Welle (in English). Following the election results, the panel will return to discuss the repercussions of the election results and the event will wrap up with a statement from Consul General Wolfgang Mössinger.
