In 2021, the DANK Haus's collection of the Eintracht newspaper was digitized and is now available on the Illinois Digital Newspaper Collections website. The IDNC is a project of the University of Illinois. At the in-person presentation "Digitizing Ethnic Newspapers," you will learn about:

  • the DANK Haus's preservation of the Eintracht
  • the history of German-language newspapers in Illinois
  • the process of digitizing and hosting newspapers
  • the importance of ethnic newspapers
