Kids (age 10+) can prove their language proficiency with us at every level.

What is this?

We are proud to offer exam options for all skill levels and ages 10 and up. A1 & A2 Levels (see CEFR Levels for more details) will be tested through the ÖSD program, and Levels B1 & C1 will be tested through our ZfA program. 

How do I take the test?

Please use the "register" button to sign up and follow the prompts.

The test is comprised of two parts: One part is writing, listening, and reading. The other one is speaking.  For A1 & A2 testing we recommend taking part in one of our workshops (in-person, upon request also online). For B1 & C1 we require participation in our Saturday program classes.

Please note: The workshop does not guarantee passing the exam. However, we highly recommend taking it, because you will know the format and the general questions that will be asked.

For A1 & A2, we will offer exams in the spring and in the fall, but will also be happy to work with you, if you have a specific timeline you must meet (administration needs about 6 weeks to prepare for an actual exam). B1 & C1 exams have set dates that we cannot influence.

The exam costs

• A1 & A2: $175
• B1 & C1: no cost

The Workshop can be added for:

• A1 & A2: $50
• B1 & C1: classes will cover practice and format

Dates

Exam Dates:

A1 & A2: April 27, 2026

Deadline for sign-up is March 18, 2026.

B1 (DSD I): Spring 2027

Deadline for sign-up is December.

C1 (DSD II): Winter 2026/27

Deadline for sign-up is September.

We generally test A1 & A2 in the spring and fall, but offer flexible dates for A1 & A2 throughout the year if needed. Please contact us for more at Kinderschule@dankhaus.com. B1 & C1 (DSD I & DSD II) have set exam dates that we cannot influence. 

Workshop Dates:

For A1 & A2 only. (B1 & C1 will cover all material in class.)

March 30, 2026, 5-6pm, in person at the DANK Haus (online possible upon request). We will go over the format in one group and then split the group into A1 and A2 for practice.

Cancellation policy

Refunds, minus a $50 administrative fee, are available if requested in writing up until one day before the exam sign-up deadline for the respective testing period. No refunds will be issued after this period.
