Marco is a German-American living in Chicago since January 2011, and in Lincoln Square in 2013. His professional experience includes technical and team leadership roles at Microsoft, SAP, The Washington Post and most recently Fluent Commerce.
His connection with the DANK Haus started in 2013 at a Laternenfest organized by the German International School Chicago. After his three children started attending the Saturday school in 2017, it was time for him to start getting more involved. First in the language school, then in October 2019 in the board of directors. He has served as the President of the Board since January 2021. Under his direction last year, the DANK Haus defined the vision statement and core values, and subsequently formulated a 1-2-5 year action plan to implement strategic changes around DANK Haus' service offerings, membership program and connections to the broader German-American community.
He is looking forward to continuing his service in a second term on the board.
