Executive Director

My name is Heidi Christen and I am the new Executive Director of the DANK Haus. I was previously a member of the DANK Board of Directors but have stepped down from that role when I took on the responsibilities of Executive Director.  My family and I have been Friends of the DANK for the past two years, during which time my children have been attending the DANK Language School; I attended the DANK classes in northern Chicago myself as a child. My family and I have had the opportunity to attend a variety of events which the DANK hosts annually, including: Eurocup, Chicago Fire, Artists talk, Stammtisch, Oktoberfest and a stand up comedy performance to name but a few.  I have over 20 years of management consulting experience, most recently as a Partner, leading teams in complex, transformational projects in strategy, operations and information technology.  These skills will benefit the DANK as we continue to implement our strategic roadmap.  My knowledge and experience will allow for a seamless transition for our staff, volunteers, as well as our broader community and enable the DANK Haus to continue fulfilling its mission and vision. I am excited about our roadmap for the DANK Haus and working with you, our supportive DANK Haus community, as we continue to move forward in evolving our wonderful cultural center!
