Sign up today for our virtual cooking class with Chef Hans Mooser and $5.00 will go directly to The Chopping Block, located in Lincoln Square. Many of you would like to help - and ensure - that our cherished neighborhood establishments remain strong and open long after this crisis has ended and here's how you can help, no matter where you are!
We are offering a virtual cooking class with Hans Mooser from The Chopping Block! He will be preparing Pork Stew (Geschnetzeltes vom Schwein) and Potato Rösti. The course is approximately 45 minutes long and after the demonstration, students will be able to ask Hans questions. Students are welcome to cook with Hans in real time as he shows you how to make traditional German fare via a Zoom Cook Along.
How will it work? When you register for the class ($10 per person), you will receive an email confirmation from our system. On the day of the event, Wednesday, you will receive a second email from (email@example.com) that will have a link for the class and a copy of the recipe so you can follow along. In the second email you will have detailed instructions on how to download Zoom.us and tips on making the most of the class.
Prior to taking the class, you will want to download Zoom.us on your computer or smart phone. This application is free and takes about one minute. We will even help you if are having trouble using the program.
The class will start EXACTLY at 7:00 PM (CST) on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Simply click on the link, join the class and watch Hans cook! You will be able to see other people on the call and even ask Hans questions at the end of the class.
$5.00 will go to support The Chopping Block and $5.00 will go to support the DANK Haus.
Many of the students from the our other virtual classes asked if they could pay MORE for the class. For any of you that wish to pay more we have a $20 registration option that will DOUBLE your donation! Danke!
All-purpose flour, 2 pork tenderloins, grape-seed oil, red onion, button mushrooms, beef stock, Dijon mustard, Cambozola cheese (mixture of brie and blue cheese), 2 medium sized russet potatoes, salt and pepper to taste, sour cream and parsley for garnish.
