SESSION 2: Week of March 21 - Week of May 2

Course Description:
In this 6 week online class, we will focus on reading and writing in a gated asynchronous setting, meaning that you will receive your assignments via google classroom, and work on it when it is convenient for you, but will turn in your assignments by a weekly deadline.
The readings examine contemporary topics of daily life in the German speaking countries, such as politics, literature, sports, music, etc. Each week, students will work on a written response to the assigned readings, express their own views and ideas on the topic and will also be introduced to a more structured way of writing. Students will receive feedback on their writing with a focus on content as well as on grammar, style, and complexity of sentences with the aim to improve their German writing skills overall.
This class offers two independent sessions, and each is 6 weeks long. You can attend one session, or both, simply select the one(s) you want to attend during the registering process.
Meetings: We will meet once at the beginning of the class to get to know each other, and to explain the course. This meeting will run for half an hour, exact date TBA.
