Willkommen to our Next Level German Summer Classes 2022! While the sun tickles your endorphines out of their shell, learning German will enhance your mood even further. Dive into the rich German culture and the quirky little ins and outs that this language provides.

Class Description

Werde mit uns zur Leseratte! This virtual class is meant for learners of German on a fairly advanced level who have gained some proficiency and are eager to exchange with other advanced learners. You meet up virtually on every Monday for a 4-week-period. The book to be read will be announced ahead of time so that students can get familiar with the topic. The inherent grammar and vocabulary of the studied source will be discussed as well as the emerging motives of the book.

These 90-minute sessions will help with your advancement of German language proficiency even further. This class is tailored for students of the Proficient level and up (CEFR B2/C1).

Meeting UP

The class meets virtually on Mondays, May 30 - Jun 20, from 7.00 - 8.30pm. You will receive the Zoom Link & Google Classroom code as well as other information once the start of the class approaches. We will make sure that the book can easily be accessed in the US. 

PREREQUISITES

You have an advanced knowledge of German and are on a B2/C1 / Proficient level? Perfect - You're good to go! If in doubt, please refer to the Placement Test.

Price

The cost of this class will be $85 for members of the DANK Haus and $95 for non-members.

A late fee of $20 will be added to the respective price for any registrants enrolling on / after May 24th, 2022.

Minimum Enrollment

There need to be at least 6 students in order for this class to come together. You will receive a confirmation email about this once that minimum is met. course.

Materials

We will be reading Verschollen in Berlin by Gabi Baier. A girl doesn't show up to her date and cannot be found... Come and explore the mystery while discovering Berlin, learning about the local culture and regional highlights. You can order your book here.
