Willkommen to our Next Level German Summer Classes 2023! While the sun tickles your endorphines out of their shell, learning German will enhance your mood even further. Dive into the rich German culture and the quirky little ins and outs that this language provides.

Class Description

Werde mit uns zur Leseratte! Join us for some fun as we read and discuss a Krimi from best-selling author Nele Neuhaus. This virtual class is meant for intermediate learners of German who have gained some expertise and are eager to exchange with other advanced learners. You meet up virtually on every Monday for a 7-week-period (6 sessions).

These 90-minute sessions will help with your advancement of German language proficiency even further. This class is tailored for students of the intermediate level and up (CEFR B1/B2).

Meeting UP

The class meets virtually on Mondays, May 8 - June 19 from 6.30 - 8.00pm. You will receive the Zoom Link & Google Classroom code as well as other information once the start of the class approaches.

ACHTUNG: There will be no class on Memorial Day. There will be 6 sessions in total.

PREREQUISITES

You have an advanced knowledge of German and are on a B1/B2 /intermediate level? Perfect - You're good to go! If in doubt, please refer to the Placement Test  or contact us at languageschool@dankhaus.com.

COST

The cost of this class will be $103 for friends of the DANK Haus and $133 for all others. If you're interested to become a friend of ours, click here!

A late fee of $30 will be added to the respective price for any registrants enrolling on / after April 24, 2023.

Minimum Enrollment

There need to be at least 6 students in order for this class to come together.

What are we reading about? 

Eine Frau wird vermisst. Im Obergeschoss ihres Hauses in Bad Soden findet die Polizei den dementen Vater, verwirrt und dehydriert. Und in der Küche Spuren eines Blutbads. Die Ermittlungen führen Pia Sander und Oliver von Bodenstein zum renommierten Frankfurter Literaturverlag Winterscheid, wo die Vermisste Programmleiterin war. Ihr wurde nach über dreißig Jahren gekündigt, woraufhin sie einen ihrer Autoren wegen Plagiats ans Messer lieferte – ein Skandal und vielleicht ein Mordmotiv? Als die Leiche der Frau gefunden wird und ein weiterer Mord geschieht, stoßen Pia und Bodenstein auf ein gut gehütetes Geheimnis. Beide Opfer kannten es. Das war ihr Todesurteil. Wer muss als nächstes sterben?  Pia und Bodenstein jagen einen Täter, der ihnen immer einen Schritt voraus zu sein scheint ...
