MADE (AND RECYCLED) IN GERMANY

Willkommen to our Summer Classes 2024! While the sun tickles your endorphines out of their shell, learning German will enhance your mood even further.

Class Description

Germany loves to recycle. From “Pfand” (deposits) on plastic and glass bottles, waste separation into material-specific containers and even “Biomüll” (organic waste), Germany is meeting the challenge of growing garbage heaps head on. Which concrete measures and political initiatives have helped developed such a comprehensive recycling system? What does recycling look like from a daily perspective? And does it actually work? In this course we’ll explore what it means to reduce, reuse and recycle in Germany alongside the nation’s wider climate goals for the future. We’ll also discuss a wide range of tips and tricks on reducing your own carbon footprint and developing sustainable practices at home.

This class is meant for German students on the A2.1 and above and meets up online every Thursday for a 6-week-period and runs for 1.5 hours. 

Meeting UP

The class meets 6 times, every Thursday, July 4 - August 8, from 6:30 - 8:00pm on zoom.

Achtung: There is no class on July 4th. There will be a make up class on July 5th.

PREREQUISITES

You have completed at least the Beginner III class? Perfect - You're good to go! If in doubt, please refer to the Placement Test or contact us at languageschool@dankhaus.com.

Price

The cost of this class is $113 for friends of the DANK Haus and $138 for all others. If you're interested to become a friend of ours, click here!

A late fee of $30 will be added to the respective price for any registrants enrolling on or after June 20th, 2024.

Minimum Enrollment

There need to be at least 6 students in order for this class to come together.
